Why do you need a rug pad!

Ofcourse no one would like to see their child, pet or some family member to slip over due to your beautiful area rug that you have last added to your dinning room, and so here comes the role of rug pad. Rug pads keep the rug properly positioned, preventing it from sliding and wrinkling.


Rug pads also:

1. Reduce wear and tear on the rug
2. Help to absorb the impact of feet and noise
3. Make vacuuming easier
4. Protect smooth-surface flooring, like hardwood or laminate, from being scratched by the back of the rug

Tip to Remember:

For rugs placed over carpet, choose a pad of thin polyester fabric coated with adhesive. This type of pad prevents a dark rug color from bleeding through on a light carpet. A pad made from slightly heavier polyester scrim coated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) holds a rug firmly on wood or other smooth-surfaced floors.
